Meet the Family Behind Shady Oak Lawn & Tree Services

Shady Oak Lawn & Tree Services is a locally owned and operated family business built on experience, hard work, and a genuine love for our community.

James and Debbie have called the River Chase New Braunfels, TX community home for the past 10 years. After more than 25 years working in construction and heavy equipment operations, James decided it was time to put his experience to work building something of his own. When his family’s longtime business closed its doors this year, he took the opportunity to start Shady Oak Lawn & Tree Services and continue doing what he knows best working outdoors, operating equipment, solving problems, and taking pride in a job well done.

Debbie brings a different set of skills to the business. A passionate lifelong gardener with years of hands-on experience growing food, designing landscapes, planting flower gardens, and transforming outdoor spaces, she spent much of her professional career working in the technology industry. After the industry layoffs of recent years changed that path, she joined James in building their family business.

Together, James and Debbie combine his construction and equipment experience with her knowledge of gardening, landscaping, design, and business to offer their neighbors dependable lawn, tree, landscape, and property services.

For us, Shady Oak Lawn & Tree Services is about more than maintaining yards. It’s about building something meaningful in the community we call home, helping our neighbors care for their properties, and creating outdoor spaces they can be proud of.

We are members of the Native Plant Society of Texas and Debbie has a Nursery Floral Certificate.

Local. Experienced. Family Owned. Proud to Serve Our Community.
